the boi gives light to one Black transgender experience through a coming of age story, using rap music in order to understand a society that denies space, voice and a home. This is a lyrical play about transformation and laughter, from the radical cypher made by and through rap music, the first encounters with crushes in high school, to the deep bond between father and son.
